Playing Sheet Music

Question to all the “instrumentalist” in music-land. When having to play a gig, do you prefer tape or V.S. (Volti Subito)? Do you want to tape a million sheets or sit turning falling pages, off the music stand? If you don’t, you might miss that special note or pause a measure, hearing the absence of noticeable sound. It can happen. Even though the musician may not want tape or v.s. . They often must do it, by having gig flexibility. It’s called musicianship, sometimes. I choose to write mine out, cut and paste or use music software if necessary to compose a part for sheet music to stay on the stand.
A Notable message: In classical orchestral and jazz pieces, taping and V.S. are rarely avoided. The next time you get a request for sheet music remember to consider your worth$, reasonably.
