It used to be that you would hear Santa Claus say, “Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas and people would just get excited. Ooh, Santa is saying Merry Christmas with the notion something good is going to happen. Just like the Christmas season, you are supposed to get excited at the words, happy new year, happy new year, Happy New Year! This phrase should be music to your ears when someone sound these words in the air.
My question is, have you been to a concert lately? One that is ticketed for free or purchased. This year, maybe this month, go to a concert. Try appreciating or listening to a new musical style you have never tried to hear before.
Musicians, vocalists, and instrumentalists, have you been to a concert you are not performing in? Snap out of it, don’t be tired. Sit through another associative musicians concert. If you’re used to small venues, go to a big concert. If you’re used to big venues search for a small place that has music. Restaurants that serve brunch with live or piped through house music is good, too.
Psst, this is my idea. Something free can be at your home with 6 to 10 people everyone has to bring something to contribute to the meal even if the person can only afford to bring an ice breaker to do. Don’t make it expensive or difficult$. You know the people you know. Happy New year…
