Prayer Time

The National Day of Prayer: May 3, 2018

1 Prayer Changes Things...

There comes a time in life when you discover the fact that you need prayer, want prayer, and welcome prayer. Prayer allows one to relate and communicate with God in a personal private way, expressing that which is the depth and weight of what is being asked, indicated, and posed in communication with God. For He is a God that hears and see us in all, of our ways.

Often, we may find that our ways move towards the left, the right and not out of God’s sight, but God wants us to come to Him that our path may be straight. The Bible says, in Proverbs 3:6 “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths.” Prayer moves us toward contentment of being able to share with God ourselves in a close way, although He knows already all about us.

It’s prayer time. Pray. Pray in a position or posture you have not prayed in a long time. Pray on your back. Pray on your knees. Pray standing up. I admit, I pray standing up a lot. Always walking and praying, silent and verbally.

This week on the National Day of Prayer call and extend prayer by asking someone, “May I pray for you right now and/or do you have a request? Be encouraged.

2 Prayer Changes Things

Whenever, a mouth opens to pray, prayer changes behavior, mood, and motivations. Prayer brings us to God and self with intentional meaningfulness. We are aware of God’s presence and He is aware of ours. When prayer is spoken, thought, or heard, intercession is taking place. The Holy Spirit is interceding, in you for prayer asking, or someone is simply “standing in the gap” in support. Remember a time when prayer impacted your life?

"When God's People Pray," your situation has the direction to change in a meaningful and valuable way. So, reach out to God and pray a prayer today.
