Later today, I am going to make some potato soup in a big bowl, add sauteed onions, and chopped mustard pieces with cornbread and a refreshing sparkling drink. This will not be my superbowl snack day meal of course. You all kind of know what your choices will be. Buffalo wings may or may not be included.
As America and and others around the world look at Superbowl LII (52) it is reflective of team competition in the National Football League. People have events, parties and attend the game with elaborate priced tickets to see who will go home/win the trophy. (Written February 2nd)
Game Day: Will the old school New England Patriots win or will the new school Philadelphia Eagles win? In this life we all have a bowl game to win, tackle, score, and make the field goal in response to the event. Up until today, you may have had many food bowls and selections to choose from. This morning you may have had a bowl of cereal, take out during lunch, you may have had Chinese food, even now when the whether is cold you may have some beef stew. It's in a bowl. There are many selections and choices in life to contend with in a bowl, but one thing in life is, we would want to be able to place our personal selections in our Superbowl. What ingredients would you place in yours? What has God placed in your bowl already? What do you need to be in your bowl? I look at my bowl that God has given in life as transformation of the heart, mind, soul, and strength. Theses are the base ingredients to any bowl in the Lord.
In a little while I hope to enjoy a home fellowship with eating some pretty good food, snacks, and beverages, but I don't really know what to expect when I get over there. The Bible says, one day God will return to get the winners on the Superbowl salvation team. This way each person who wants a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can access the free gift of everlasting life. The illustration a place at the heavenly Superbowl where all teams there win to join in at the Kings table..
As you have good eats sharing with people hearing oohs, ahs at food, commercials, and the half-time show, celebrate that but remember who allowed you to have a good time now and later on. So, as you eat a wing or two of chicken remember God's angels with wings are probably protecting you.
Have a touchdown day,
