Jesus Christ in Christ-mas

Trees, ornaments and party foods. Which one will you do? That is for Christ. Will you decorate your home big or small or have a little lunch or supper, to encourage or give to someone? While Jesus was being born into the world there was fellowship outside the inn in the manger, but there was a surrounding of giving in response to Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. This indicated the coming of a Savior in to the world to save us from our sin.  This was a time to celebrate the life of a born Savior and the salvation we would come to have. Being able to come together and share during these times is symbolic of the love of God.

This is not my time to tell people how to live in the "season of sales and toys", but during these times people are alone who should not be alone. People are alone that do need rest, peace, and solace, but it maybe that they need a call, text, letter, or a few minutes of stopping by. When someone crosses your mind, don't delay praying, God maybe be leading you to pray for someone in consideration. People do not necessarily need to hear a prayer from you, but that you prayed and had a thought about them. Sometimes we are not aware that a general or routine word of acknowledgement and kindness goes a long way. Remember somebody. Whenever considering and pondering this statement  this would move me to do this for someone, in a call or a stopping by for a visit.

I have learned, it is not what I have heard back from people in response, It is knowing that God uses you and me by faith no matter what. Just speak, pray, and consider others. Be prayerful about how you demonstrate giving and don't allow people to make you feel "guilty" about that which you do give from the heart.

As Christians I have family, friends, co-workers, and congregants that expand ethnicity, culture and religion, but God is Love. Wherever, I go and wherever I may be, Christ is there. He lives in my heart. I will enjoy the view of decorations, the spread of food, and most of all the atmosphere in speaking to others in love. This is a focal time of peace and goodwill to "humankind". And I need to be apart of that is some way.

Point of Aim:

My point of aim is to use my tongue for meaningful valued expressions and not for intentional harm. This is my prayer to do. Colossians 3:23 says "Whatever you do, do it heartily to the Lord and not to man." When you work for God you have to see how He operates in bringing His Son Jesus  to this earth, for peace in this Christmas season, today and tomorrow. In this I will pray to keep this message within me.

P.S. If you need rest during this seasonal time do it with a movie, book, magazine, or a little extra sleep.
