Food, Clothing, Shelter a Valuable Need

How often do we consider food, clothing, and shelter in a day, week, or a year? Depending upon your lifestyle and daily routines, this fact may not be pressed on your heart. When needs are considered to be extreme the focus is personal with resonate thoughts cascading in our minds. Cascading thoughts layer themselves when necessities are not present to acquire. When it is you with a need, you seek to make your concern known. If it is someone else the consideration may cross your mind from little to a strong intensity. Food, clothing, and shelter we can have and possess; And we can buy and receive, and do unto others as we would have them do unto us. When looking at a picture of the scripture acknowledging the Golden Rule, we see the message, “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." Matthew 7:12 NIV (New International Version)

What has become prevalent in the last 5 to 10 years is active giving of food, clothing, and shelter. We know about feeding on the word of God for the soul. We recognize being clothed in our right minds. We understand the habitat of a home for shelter. This is an imagery example of the Golden Rule.

In 2005 Hurricane Katrina was a devastating impact on the land area of Louisiana off the coast. It destroyed many people's homes and lives. A traumatic experience needing attention in a comprehensive way to assist human lives in a dire situation.

--Stories--

At a major university parking lot we gave away food and directed traffic.

We set up a clothing factory, so to speak, in the church gym.

During a time of vast sheltered response, our city and surrounding states moved into action assisting the state of Louisiana's massive weather tragedy and circumstantial happenings.

The Golden Rule.
