"Our Father who art in Heaven hallowed be [Your] name." This scripture has been said, memorized, and regarded as the Lord's Prayer for a lifetime from the Holy Bible in churches, ministries, and the lives of believers and unbelievers. "Our Father . . ." Some years ago, I presented at a youth conference a message from Matthew 6, called, "Dial Long Distance with No Charge." In the amazing ways God speaks and praying to Him. I sculpted a refined message for youth in the context of calling God up with this prayer. I used the example of the cell phone new to generally accessing in culture at the time and was humored and tickled by the opportunity of sharing.
What is the 1st few words in this verse of Matthew 6:11? The understanding of who it is that I am calling. I am calling God, my heavenly Father. Not only do I recognize Him being my Father, but, "our Father." As you call God who is heaven, He is also near. When you draw near to God He will draw near to you. keeep prayer in focus.
