"Thanksgiving in Unique Places and People"

During the time of Thanksgiving, downtown parades happen and occur throughout the states in the USA. Parades to celebrate a time when families, peoples and persons are fed in caring and sharing ways. Ways to express giving and invitations to be present in conversations, happenings, and former happenings. In a parade there is an expectation of people gathering weeks ahead of time, to build constructs of interesting things to view in the excitement for those who have viewed magnificent floats and those who have attended before. Babies and children screaming and yelling hoping the floats will scream or wave back. Thanksgiving is for seeing this massive event of colors and people passing by, taking place.

In the process of seeing parades, there will be traffic passing by not knowing the parade is taking place, knowing they are trying to get to their destination, their grocery store, and their event. People are seen rushing to get a parking space that's not there, a meter with debit card pay, and an open garage to park where the wind is blowing on a cold day. Then, passing vendors go by, as plastic balloon animals on a stick are noticed, along with stuffed animals for sale. Maybe cotton candy is being sold, too.

Parade participants, first responders and police officers are all a part of this day and the life of Thanksgiving in major cities across the nation. Hoping to make the atmosphere and presence safe and sound for happenings going on. Young people marching in bands with persevering endurance to add excitement and joy from marching in musical timing. First responders are prepped and ready to attend to necessities of quality care and facility of being present. Officers attending to city activities; Settings involving traffic, from food givens in organizations, places and venues.

The phrase, "Home is where the heart is, has been around for a number of years." Growing up in various places hearing this quote connects with the relationship we have in seeing and understanding where God is present. In this seasonal time we may be lonely or single, but with God we are never alone. The restaurant, home, or somebody else's home.

My sentiment today is to share the word of understanding how God extends to us. He loves, cares, and gives in ways seen, and unseen. One way to see how God works, even when there may not be an awareness, is when a city, family, or teams work together approaching exhibiting and event, attending the event, appreciating the opportunity to mutually see nice wholesome fun intended to relate fun.

As you share gifts and food to those in need, say a prayer for someone.Let us know that we cannot beat God giving, no matter how much we try. These verses below speak to our lives.

"Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind," Psalm 107:8 THANKSGIVING. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 118:1 THANKSGIVING. Recognize where giving is extended in your life, today.

Remembrance: Let us share as the Native Americans shared with the Pilgrims, eating turkey and corn (maize). Centuries ago.
